Ancient Pharaonic, Greek and
Goddess dances
In
the tradition of Isadora Duncan and Ruth St. Denis, Ayshe searches
the ancient and exotic traditions of the world for the archetypes
of feminine power and beauty that define female existence. Her
knowledge derives from years of study in pharaonic dance (with
Marta Zorina), classical and character ballet (with Mme. G. Darvash),
and yoga (with Juliu Howath and Dharma Mitra), as well as academic
pursuits in archaeology and Middle Eastern studies at Hunter College,
N.Y.C..
Ayshe's
ancient costumes are her signature trademark.. All are made and
crafted by Ayshe using antique metal pieces in unique, one-of-a-kind
designs
